Pathfinder's Vespers

Where were you on the night of October the 5th? The Aviators Pathfinder Club was at the Lassel's house for vespers and cinnamon rolls.

Pathfinder members were encouraged to bring a friend. Here are some pictures.

Part of the Pathfinder Law is "I will keep the morning watch." This means that we will have prayer and Bible study each day. Our leaders talked about prayer during vespers.
The Pathfinders set off a hot air balloon to symbolize how our prayers rise up to God.
We have liftoff!

Brandon, what is your favorite part of Pathfinder Vespers?
I have to agree with you there
These were MUCH BETTER than the burnt ones at camporee.
Thanks Jason & Rachel for having us over. We had a great time hanging out with friends.

Pathfinder Sabbath

On Saturday, October 13th, the Lee's Summit Aviators had a special Sabbath at the Lee's Summit SDA Church. During this service, the Pathfinders marched in, with Andrew and Ian bearing the United States flag and the Pathfinder flag. There was also a special speaker, Dick Bascom from Des Moines, Iowa.

Pathfinder Investiture

On Friday the twelfth of October, the Lee's Summit Aviators Pathfinder club invested 11 new kids into Pathfinders. That means that they were officially accepted into the Lee's Summit Aviators Pathfinder club.

Our club is very privileged to have Jeffery, who plays the drum for us while we are marching.
Preparing for Investiture

Close ups of the Pathfinder Uniform:
On the sleeve: top patch is the club name, middle patch shows that Brandon is a part of the Teen Leadership Training program (TLT), bottom patch is the Pathfinder emblem
The red cord on Ian's sleeve is a TLT cord. The top patch on his arm is the conference patch, the middle patch is the world emblem, and the patch on the bottom is the class ranking. Ian is a Ranger. The class name can be seen above the pocket.
The yellow thing is the Pathfinder bandanna. On the back of the sash is various camporee patches, such as the Fall Camporee from '08 and '10. The red circular patch is also a TLT patch. The triangular one at the bottom is from Courage to Stand World Camporee.
